For those whom know me, they've been listening to my continued attempts to upgrade my employment.

Thankfully, I've learned a lot from the process, and I think I know more human resourse people than you do now.

Knowledge I feel obligated to pass along as follows:

To answer the question "Why _____ for a job?"

Wrong: I was so glad to see your now hiring I cried for 10 minutes. My boss is unqualified, comes in late, cracks farts, and smells like an old sock. (While this may be true, not smart to say)

Right: Actually, I wasn't looking for a job, but when I saw it was YOU.... (Hopefully true statement)

The improper way to pester someone for a job:

I was wondering if the position was filled already. (Encouraging knee-jerk y/n questions is never good)

The proper way to pester someone about the job:

Could you give me a rough estimate/timeframe when I should follow up regarding a hiring decision? (Oh snap, this makes one think, don't it?)

Good Luck out there people!!

another portion of humanity. I just wanted to let everybody know that

I'm doing just wonderful today (hell, this week!).

Here's an example of how charmed my life is.... I had my ipod on

shuffle this morning, and it played the following (in order!) and

totally made my day thus far:

1. Yaz - Move Out
2. Orgy - Stitches
3. Rock the Casbah

All by itself, from 4700 songs, it chooses the 3 songs that may just be

the perfect pill to listen to synth rock, which I happen to be on a

kick with.

AND... I get out of work early, and then off to the thrift store I go!!

Man, life can be sweet sometimes.
I'm not really complaining, I was looking to see if anybody played WOW

decently with a system at these specs, I'd hate to buy it without

However, I got in touch with my feminine side, and it told me what I

let me know, eh?

I do not want the following

1. Anything in direct sales.
2. More than 50 hours a week without the magic of 1.5x
3. Dress codes that confuse me
4. Something that takes all my attention
5. Anything slower than 1.2 mbps internet access
6. Nowhere to put pictures of dumb crap to make the place look like my house
7. No personal days for the first 6 months.
8. More than biweekly pay plans
9. More than 50% of my pay being performance based
10. Anything where I have to recruit my own underlings
11. Where you get to pick my underlings
12. If I double your sales YOY, I don't want to hear about operations audits no more often than every 48 hours.
13. Say you're interested in personal growth, and than, cut my training budget.
14. I swear to god if I'm told one more time I'm the best of the best,

and have to clean my own bathroom, I promice you I will go batshit.

Thanks!
I have this almost sociological obsession with the abilities of my peers to romance each other.

People, to me, are like this huge bingo ball cage, each of us a ball.

We're all bouncing around in this sea of hormones just rattling off

each other, becoming stuck, sometimes in groups, to each other, and

falling off just as fast.

It's amazing to watch from the outside looking in. Unfortunately, I'm rarely that detached.

But hoo boy, sometimes it can smart a little being in there.
